Living Life to the Fullest In Southwest Missouri

Rangeline Golf Center

Rangeline Golf Center

Sixty degrees in January?

That’s one reason this Chicago native loves living in the Ozarks now.

To celebrate this opportunity to play outside in winter without wearing our coats, our family decided to play a game of miniature golf.

We zipped up Range Line Road to Rangeline Golf Center. (Is it Range Line or Rangeline? No one seems to agree.)

At this golf center, there are two 18-hole mini golf courses, a driving range, plus batting cages outside. Inside, there are video arcade games to play and golf supplies that you can buy.

For four of us to play mini golf, it only cost $15 (my youngest played for free – she’s 4).

We picked out our clubs and balls and headed outside.

Then it hit us.

The fierce southerly wind pushed against us, reminding us that IT was the reason for the warm temperatures that day.

But the gusty wind didn’t stop us from having fun.

In fact, it added more fun by transforming my daughter’s ponytail into a weather vane.

While my middle daughter used the greens to work on her putting,

my youngest used them to practice her track-and-field skills…

…and her bowling skills.

When my husband needed help, she came to his aid with her Power Putter.

The kids’ favorite holes were the several bumpy ones, the one with the tunnels,

and the “toilet bowl” one.

Yes, we broke all mini-golf rules that day, but everyone had a blast.

And the best part?

We were able to play outside on a mild winter day.
